Marcus Rashford has hit out at the "ridiculous" claims that he has been searching for a new agent amid unrest over his current status at Manchester United. (More Football news)

A report this week stated Rashford had met with a leading sports agency in a bid to engineer a move away from Old Trafford after seeing his playing time dry up in recent weeks.

It comes after the England international hinted in an interview last month that he would be prepared to leave United and was ready "for a new challenge" after falling out of favour under new head coach Ruben Amorim.

Rashford has not featured in any of United's last five games in all competitions, being omitted from the match squad for four consecutive matches, starting with the Manchester derby, before being an unused substitute in Monday's defeat to Newcastle United.

However, Rashford took to social media to brush off claims that he was looking to change his agent.

Ikram has a long association with the sport. The former Pakistan and China hockey coach is a member of the IOC Olympic Solidarity Commission, and has been an Executive Board member of the FIH since 2016. On 5 November 2022, he was elected as the 13th President of FIH.

Rashford scored three goals in Amorim's first three games in charge but failed to net in the following three before being left out of the squad.

Overall, the 27-year-old has scored seven goals in 24 appearances in all competitions for United this season, while only Amad Diallo (eight) and Bruno Fernandes (nine) have been involved in more goals than him in the Premier League this term (five).

The Red Devils have lost their last four games in all competitions, including their last three in the Premier League. They have not lost four league games in a row in the same season since between December and February 1979, while they last suffered four defeats in a row without scoring back in April 1909.

They face Liverpool at Anfield in their next game on Sunday. winph
